What fees are covered by Fees Free?

For provider-based study, Fees Free will cover:

• tuition fees
• compulsory course costs, and
• student services fees.

Fees Free does not cover optional and occasional fees such as students’ association and club memberships and late fees.

It also does not cover course materials that are not included in your compulsory course costs. For example, if your tertiary education organisation requires you to have a textbook, but doesn’t include the fee in your compulsory course costs alongside your tuition, Fees Free won’t cover that textbook.

For work-based learning, Fees Free will cover all of your and your employer's fees for training and assessment for the first 24 months of any eligible work-based programme.
