I’ve received an invoice for fees. Why?
Your tertiary education organisation (TEO) may invoice you if:
- during 2025 you reach your Fees Free entitlement of 24-months, one EFTS, or up to $12,000, or
- you start a new qualification in 2025 that you were not enrolled in, in 2024, or
- you are enrolled in courses that start in 2025 that finish after 31 December 2025, which are only covered by Fees Free for the portion of the courses delivered in 2025.
If you receive an invoice and you’re not sure whether the fees should be covered by Fees Free, check in with your TEO about what the fees are for.
