I’ve previously undertaken a course with zero fees, does this count as prior study or training?

All zero fee study and training undertaken prior to 2023, regardless of whether fees were associated with the course, whether you paid the fees directly, or if you have ever accessed (or repaid) a Student Loan, is considered when determining eligibility. This demonstrates you are not a first-time learner.

Any zero fee courses you undertake on or after 1 January 2023 that have zero tuition fees and zero compulsory course costs will not count as prior study for the purposes of determining your Fees Free eligibility.

Please refer to the eligibility criteria for further information.
