What do I do if I’m eligible for fees-free but have already paid fees to my provider?

If you pay fees for courses starting in 2019, but later find out that you’re eligible for fees-free, you need to ask your provider for a refund. You’re entitled to a refund of the amount you’ve paid up to the value of $12,000. However, you need to claim your eligibility for fees-free support by 31 December 2019 to have your study covered by fees-free.

Providers have been informed of your right to a refund.
